The Sous Chef plays a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef by overseeing kitchen operations in both fine dining and casual dining environments. This position involves managing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met. The Sous Chef collaborates closely with the Head Chef to maintain efficient kitchen workflows and uphold the restaurant’s culinary excellence. No travel is required for this role, which offers opportunities for promotion and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee food preparation to meet quality standards
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels
- Train staff on cooking techniques and kitchen protocols
- Ensure compliance with quality control and food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and kitchen operations
- Manage orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
