Description:
We are seeking a locum OB/GYN physician for clinic and hospital coverage.
The physician will provide clinic coverage during the week.
They will also be scheduled for in-house hospital call shifts.
The schedule includes a mix of weekday clinic shifts and hospital shifts.
Call schedule is 1 in 5 weekdays and 1 in 10 weekends.
Weekend call coverage will be from Friday through Sunday.
The physician will primarily handle low-risk pregnancies, with some high-risk cases.
They are expected to average around 20 patients per clinic day.
The average number of deliveries per physician per week is approximately 8.
The physician will perform an average of 8 OB/GYN surgeries weekly.
There are other OB/GYNs present during locum tenens coverage.
Lab ultrasound services are available on-site.
Documentation is managed through an electronic system.
The locum will not be involved in teaching services.
Required procedures include routine deliveries, decision-making for C-sections, and vaginal deliveries.
Preferred procedures involve high-risk pregnancies and OB ultrasounds.
The physician must be comfortable interpreting fetal heart rate monitoring and performing necessary assessments.
Supervision of mid-level providers is not required.
