Job Title Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Job Summary Join a dedicated healthcare team in Renton, Washington, as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns. Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, interpreting and responding to changes appropriately. Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and surgical procedures such as C-sections. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding. Respond to emergent situations, providing critical care and support as needed. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB). Skills & Competencies Proficiency in fetal monitoring and interpretation. Expertise in labor support techniques and pain management. Strong skills in postpartum care and newborn assessment. Competency in medication administration, IV insertion, and phlebotomy. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a supportive environment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and patient advocacy. Shift Details This is a 16‑week contract position. Shifts are 12 hours, 3 nights per week (NOC shift). The assignment is scheduled to start on July 20, 2026, and conclude on November 9, 2026. Call requirements: Not specified.
