Medical Director, Clinical Development, Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee clinical research strategies for Phase 1-3 psychiatric disorder studies
• Direct medical assessment of adverse events and evaluate compound safety in clinical trials
• Lead identification and selection of clinical investigators and maintain sponsor relationships
• Conduct biomarker strategy development with Research and Preclinical Development teams
• Analyze clinical study results and present findings to internal and external audiences

Requirements

• MD or DO with accredited residency training and board certification in relevant psychiatric specialty
• 2+ years clinical research and development experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic settings
• Proficiency in Good Clinical Practice and investigational drug development regulations
• Strong knowledge of translational medicine, biomarker evaluation, and clinical study design
• Demonstrated expertise managing CROs, clinical consultants, and cross-functional research teams
• Ability to lead independently in matrix environments while prioritizing multiple complex initiatives
• Strong scientific writing, data analysis, and regulatory document preparation skills
