MMGY has an immediate opening for a Social Media Producer in our Chicago office . As a Social Media Producer, you won't just be making social-first content. You'll also be your client's cultural guide and social expert. You'll focus on making content that audiences want to watch - concepting, shooting, editing and publishing it across all major social platforms.


This position will also assist in managing content calendars, trend spotting, reporting, and collaboration with social media managers and community managers.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the execution of a social-first brand strategy, ensuring consistency across platforms
• Work with project team and client(s) to execute social media strategies
• Be the on-the-ground expert and creator: concept, shoot, edit and post social-first video content to align with the strategy in place
• Work alongside social media, account, and creative team members to develop impactful content ideas and concepts that extend marketing campaigns and brand initiatives
• Deploy communication and aid in the delivery of overall social strategy
• Execute high quality social-first shoots and develop social first video to help grow client(s) social media presence, balancing speed with quality
• Execute end-to-end content production including planning, on-set capture, and post-production editing using mobile and/or professional camera equipment
• Optimize content for platform-specific formats, ensuring proper framing, resolution, aspect ratios, captions, and use of trending audio
• Assist with content scheduling, publishing, and real-time engagement
• Assist in social media reporting for clients that include an analysis of current social activity and future marketing recommendations based on content performance
• Monitor industry news and trends, providing insights to support ongoing optimization
• Assist with daily client communication
• Deliver projects on time and within budget
• Innovate with new social video production techniques and approaches to stay ahead of the ever-changing landscape

Key Experience & Skills Needed

• 5+ years of experience in social production, agency experience is a plus
• Experience working with content for social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest and YouTube
• Ability to communicate clearly in the proper social media "voice" and "tone"
• Strong creative writing skills
• An understanding of all forms of social media interactions
• Imaginative attitude, with a passion for creating and experimenting
• An understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and its application across social
• Experience working with social creative editing platforms such as CapCut or Canva
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint or similar tools
• Must be passionate about social media and on top of industry best practices and trends
• Knowledge of social media marketing tools
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
• Very high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Salary Range: $55-$62k USD
