About the Opportunity


A growing organization in the Baltimore area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialistto join its accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor records.

I. Key Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

II. Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

IV. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a high-volume AP environment
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms
