GROUP SALES MANAGER

The Marriott Boston Quincy Hotel is seeking an energetic individual to fill the position of Group Sales Manager. In this role, the Group Sales Manager will generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue through cold calling, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with major group and catering clients Represent the hotel professionally at industry tradeshows, conferences, and other events, adhering to the budget and marketing plan guidelines Ensure all solicitation, closing, and customer communication activities are complete, documented, and tracked with an active follow‑up system Accurately record all bookings and lost business in the sales system Identify and solicit new accounts through appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries via email, phone, and in person interactions Detail BEOs with clients for group meetings and distribute with appropriate staff Conduct pre‑ and post‑conference meetings when mutually convenient with the client Attend property‑specific receptions to generate leads and interact with customers Organize and execute local area blitzes Minimum Qualifications 3 years of experience in hotel sales Additional Qualifications Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written Prospecting, sales, and closing skills Customer service oriented Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
