Facility PlumberAmentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance/Plumbing Systems Technician for our client site in Groton, CT!Hiring hourly range: $38-43 (hourly/salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, various hours may be required based on business demand.This position includes a competitive benefits package. For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site.The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.As a facility maintenance/plumbing systems technician, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:Providing advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative and predictive maintenance to general facilities systems equipment to include but not limited to plumbing, mechanical equipment, pumps, piping, backflows, drains, and other equipment as directed.Repairing maintenance and mechanical building systems including but not limited to Chilled water, Reheat, Potable and Non-potable, Hot water distribution and specific components, Distilled water & reverse Osmosis systems, lab Gas systems, High & Low Vacuum systems, Instrument air Compressors and dryers, waste discharge systems consisting of effluent, Lab Waste, storm and sewage.Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Perform periodic maintenance on backflow preventers, eyewash/safety showers, and water filtration systemsGeneral understanding of lock out tag out procedures and applicationRespond to work orders associated with building equipment.Inspects major equipment and/or operating systems and takes corrective actions as necessary.Operate hand tools including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, standard wrenches, drills, and similar instruments.Ensures all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications, are maintained at a high level of quality. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
