General Liability Litigation Senior Claim Representative/Consultant - Western / Eastern Region

Job Title General Liability Litigation Senior Claim Representative / Consultant Location Remote / Virtual (Hybrid options available for employees living near the designated office locations). Responsibilities Deliver superior customer service and investigate, reserve, recommend and implement strategies to resolve claims consistent with corporate claim standards, policies, procedures, statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements. Partner with Staff Legal and outside counsel to resolve General Liability cases including Premise Liability, Operations Claims, Product Liability, Professional Claims, Advertising Injury claims, Homeowner Liability, Employment Liability exposures, and others. Manage claim files: recommend, reserve, execute file strategies; investigate, value, disposition, and settlement of assigned claims; properly assess exposure; plan & organize; establish priorities; determine completion dates; manage vendors. Develop advanced functional knowledge of coverage interpretation and apply insurance coverage; develop technical & jurisdictional expertise; maintain current knowledge of claim loss‑cost initiatives. Identify and mitigate subrogation, recovery opportunities; maintain dedication to exceeding customer expectations; gather first‑hand customer information for improvements. Maintain effective relationships with customers using diplomacy and tact; manage conflict to negotiate win‑win outcomes. Analyze complex coverage and compensability issues; investigate, evaluate and negotiate highly complex claims; apply statutory laws; contribute to loss‑cost management. Support and assist in building a high‑performing team that celebrates diversity and inclusion. Qualifications 2–5+ years of relevant experience managing general liability claims. Technical expertise in managing high‑complexity claims. Strong computer proficiency and experience with claim software. Excellent communication, oral, written, collaboration and negotiation skills. Strong time‑management, organizational and customer‑service skills. Ability to manage conflict and negotiate win‑win outcomes. Leadership among claim handlers; advanced expertise. College degree preferred or 5+ years of related work experience. Consistent high performance over career span. State certification exams and adjusting licenses; JD, SCLA or CPCU designation is a plus. Compensation Annualized base‑pay ranges: Senior Rep $62,400 – $93,600; Consultant $84,800 – $127,200. Total compensation may include bonuses, long‑term incentives and recognition. Licensing Must obtain and maintain a State Adjuster’s license to process Property & Casualty claims in the states supported by your office. Successful passage of the licensing exam(s) within 30 business days of completion of training is required.
