Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool. The ideal candidate will possess strong Epic experience and be comfortable floating between Med/Surg and IMC units. This position requires recent and relevant experience with a variety of patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg and IMC units as needed.
• Provide care for patients with conditions such as acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, and myocardial infarction.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6.
• Demonstrate proficiency in monitoring telemetry and managing complex patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols, including infection control standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of IMC experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Recent Epic experience is required.
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD are mandatory; no exceptions will be made.
