Lecturer AY - Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Job No: 557176 Positions Part‑time Lecturer – Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities and Expectations To ensure high‑quality instruction and student support, Faculty will: Teaching Responsibilities : Teach assigned courses in the IME curriculum, aligning with each course’s Expanded Course Outline. Office Hours : Maintain regular, accessible office hours per the University Office Hours Policy. Departmental Responsiveness : Respond to departmental and student inquiries within two working days during teaching semesters. Professional Development : Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain teaching effectiveness. Student Evaluations : Meet or exceed expected average student evaluation scores for each assigned section:

• 2.0 – for temporary faculty who have taught the same course in the IME Department for more than three semesters.
• 2.5 – for temporary faculty who have taught the same course in the IME Department for three semesters or fewer.

Required Qualifications Master’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Prior college or university‑level teaching experience and evidence of strong teaching. Salary and Benefit Information Initial appointments are for one semester only; salary is based on experience and educational background. The following ranges apply: Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677 per month Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224 per month Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523 per month Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211 per month Salary is prorated for units worked and paid in six monthly installments.
