Buckeye, Arizona Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity
November Start | 6+ Months | 20 Shifts/Month | 12-Hour Shifts | New Freestanding ED
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking ABEM/AOBEM Emergency Medicine Physicians for a substantial long-term locum tenens need in Buckeye, Arizona . This is an opportunity to join a new freestanding emergency department as it begins operations in November, with approximately 20 physician shifts available each month and ongoing coverage anticipated for at least six months.
Opportunity Highlights

- Approximately 20 shifts available per month
- 12-hour shifts
- Days: 7A–7P
- Nights: 7P–7A
- Providers must participate in both day and night coverage
- Physician-staffed model
- Cerner EMR
Emergency Department
- New 14-bed freestanding ED
- Approximately 5,000 projected annual visits
- Approximately 1.5 patients per hour
- Freestanding emergency department with no inpatient beds
- Connected to an imaging center
- No trauma designation
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Emergency Medicine training required
- ABEM/AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Board-eligible physicians accepted within 5 years of eligibility
- 1–3 years of Emergency Medicine experience
- Current ACLS
- ATLS required; current certification not required
- FM- and IM-trained physicians are not accepted
Licensing & Credentialing
- Credentialing can begin with an Arizona license pending
- Temporary/emergency privileges may be available
