Security Clearance Type None/Not Required Security Clearance Status Not Required The Computing Solutions Department is looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the development of the next generation product line solutions in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Computing Solutions organization is focused on the development of solutions that can be applied across a wide variety of Avionics products in safety critical applications. Our team is responsible for the development, certification and sustainment of these solutions. What You Will Do Capture requirements, design, test cases, and test procedures in accordance with program development plans and the objectives of ARP-4754B. Integrate, validate, and verify system functionality in the lab. Provide technical collaboration among systems, hardware, AEH and software design functions. Assist in resolving technical problems that cross hardware and software functional domain areas. Travel 5-10% of the time as needed. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. Experience with safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B). Experience authoring and validating requirements. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with the avionics equipment certification process. Experience working with stakeholders to generate concepts of operations and use cases. Experience authoring in-depth technical documents. Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software. Experience developing automated tests utilizing scripting. Excellent communication skills for both internal and external customers. The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
