Computed Tomography TechnologistThis is a 13-week contract position.Night Shift - 12 x 4, with shifts of 11p-7a and 7p-7a.The Computed Tomography Technologist independently performs imaging procedures, utilizing prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This role requires competency in a variety of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.Responsibilities:Independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration.Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data, adhering to established protocols.Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and the use of power injector as per department and manufacturer's protocols.Administer contrast media (PO, rectal, IV) per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to administration.Interact effectively with patients and co-workers, displaying care, respect, and strong communication skills.Ensure proper patient identification using two patient identifiers and apply universal protocol during procedures.Review patient history and assess physician orders to apply departmental protocols for optimal results in data acquisition.Document patient history in electronic record systems and ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, and charged.Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to system-wide competencies and behaviors.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.CT registry must be obtained within 18 months of date of hire or primary registry acquisition.A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field is required.ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) are required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Compliance with Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
