This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Computed Tomography Technologist independently performs imaging procedures, utilizing advanced techniques and complex imaging equipment to achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes. This role requires strong technical skills, independent judgment, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform computed tomography procedures following established scan protocols.
• Utilize complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation.
• Demonstrate proficient venipuncture skills and the proper use of power injectors.
• Administer various forms of contrast media as per physician orders and department policies.
• Engage with patients effectively, providing clear instructions and easing apprehensions.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and adhere to universal protocols during procedures.
• Document patient history and ensure proper coding and tracking of imaging exams.
• Work collaboratively with team members to enhance patient care efficiency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was obtained.
• 2 years of experience is required.
• ARRT Certificate and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Possession of Pennsylvania Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances.
