What You’ll Get To Do Lead the month‑end close process, including preparation and management of journal entries, financial reports, cash flow analyses, and monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. Maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements. Support audit processes and Form990 reporting by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal controls, policies, and workflows to strengthen financial integrity. Serve as the ERP and accounting systems lead and super user, responsible for system maintenance, optimization, and end‑user support. Monitor evolving accounting guidance; conduct research on new or complex transactions and recommend actions to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Assist with budget and forecast development, including supporting leaders with preparation and ongoing monitoring. Support enterprise risk management activities, including tracking organizational risks and assisting with insurance program administration. Assist in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures to manage risk and strengthen internal controls. Prepare external reports for Goodwill Industries International, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies, as required. Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and productivity. Participate in departmental goals and projects, as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in a GAAP accounting role is required. Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints. CPA experience is preferred. Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail. At least an intermediate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook. Ability to maintain confidentiality. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to other locations is required. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions. Primary function requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight. Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and scanner.
