Start driving your future with Ryder today.At Ryder, you will be part of a team-first culture built on respect when joining a community of proud women and men in Supply Chain, including many Military Reservists and Veterans.EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/VeteranRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience as a clerk in a warehouse/distribution environment performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping/receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendor and customers strongly preferredHas the ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and RyderHas strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skillsIntermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Knowledge of WMS systems preferredExperience operating forklift equipment preferredEquipment certification may be requiredImportant Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.ResponsibilitiesPerforms administrative tasks for area or shiftMaintains filing systems and documents per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)Interacts with customers and contractors, answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier, and damage claimsCoordinates processing of export orders, filling out export paperwork, generates export labels, maintaining export paperworkProcesses returns in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintains paperworkPallet management: orders CHEP and white wood pallets for the site, conducts reconciliation of pallet count, researches large pallet system variancesUsing the location's WMS system, updates area or shift metrics as neededAdditional duties as assigned, overtime as neededRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
