X-Ray Technologist

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high quality diagnostic digital x‑ray images with special attention to radiation safety regulations, proper documentation, and techniques. The role also involves effective communication with customers and radiologists, assisting in training new technologists or patient coordinators, and troubleshooting the X‑ray unit and peripheral equipment. Responsibilities Produce high‑quality diagnostic x‑ray images. Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and proper documentation. Perform patient safety measures, including pre‑screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique. Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists. Assist in training new radiologic technologists or patient coordinators. Troubleshoot the X‑ray unit and peripheral equipment (computers, PACS, etc.). Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred). ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable (required). CPR certification (required). Valid state driver’s license (if applicable). For fixed‑setting work: Successful completion of a Radiology School; ability to work at several locations. For mobile‑setting work: Minimum of one year radiography or digital x‑ray experience (preferred); local travel may be required. Strong customer service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills. Basic knowledge of computer applications. Physical Requirements May be exposed to weather conditions during transport of patients with a mobile unit; radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease. More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs; see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel, crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (move non‑ambulatory patients). COVID‑19 Vaccination The COVID‑19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
