Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilize specialized nursing expertise to assign patient care based on acuity and technical needs, fostering evidence-based practice improvements.

• Communicate proactively to manage expectations and ensure a positive patient experience through rounding, timely responses, and professional conduct.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, supporting healthcare students, and promoting safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Adhere to safety protocols including Just Culture principles, HIPAA compliance, and national safety standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development, seeking leadership opportunities, certifications, and advanced education.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, alternatively, five years of acute care nursing experience if from a non-accredited school.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty credentials.

Licensure:

Active Registered Nurse license as required by the regional nursing board.
