Patient Services Specialist Location: Hilliard, OH Pay: $18.00/hour Work Environment Busy outpatient therapy office supporting patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and flexible to support multiple Hilliard-area office locations as needed. This position focuses on patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, copay collection, and providing exceptional customer service in a busy outpatient healthcare setting. Healthcare experience is preferred, but strong customer service professionals with a desire to learn are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities - Greet patients warmly and professionally - Guide new patients through registration paperwork - Check patients in and out - Answer and manage incoming phone calls - Schedule appointments and conduct patient follow-up - Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations - Collect copays and process patient payments - Maintain accurate patient demographic information - Review daily charges and assist with office closeout procedures - Utilize EMR systems to manage patient information Required Skills & Experience - Minimum 1 year of medical front desk, general front desk, or customer service experience - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Excellent customer service both in person and over the phone - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Strong computer proficiency - Reliable transportation and attendance - Flexibility to work at multiple office locations within the Hilliard area Top Skills - Must Haves: - Customer Service - Medical or Healthcare Experience - Front Desk Experience - Insurance Verification - Patient Registration - EMR Experience - Copay Collection Nice-to-Have Skills: - Medical front desk experience - Healthcare call center experience - Insurance authorization experience - Knowledge of patient demographics workflows - Experience with Therapy Source or Rehab Toolkit EMR systems Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
