Comprehensive relocation assistance is provided to the qualified candidate! Summary: Our award-winning client is seeking a Safety Manager Manufacturing to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Safety Manager to join a leading F500 consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer and make a significant impact in their flagship facility. You will lead a team of 10 (6 Safety and 4 Security professionals) to continuously improve safety practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong safety culture. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive health and safety program for a large plant (over 600 employees).
- Drive a multi-year strategy for continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to your team, overseeing personnel, data, and budget.
- Conduct and oversee accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Lead the plant in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety standards.
- Build and manage safety committees, ensuring effective communication and program execution.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Champion a culture of safety through collaboration, influence, and impactful initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in health and safety within a medium to large manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of supervisory/leadership/management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
- Experience leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
- A passion for continuous improvement (Lean principles a plus).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- CSP certification is a plus.
- Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $150,000
- Bonus potential: 15%
- 401(k) match: 9%
