We are a well-established and growing commercial refrigeration construction and service company looking for an experienced Construction Safety Manager to take the lead in building and maintaining a strong, proactive safety culture across our organization.

This is more than a jobsite inspection role. As our Safety Manager, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of our safety program, work directly with field teams and leadership, and play a key role in keeping our employees safe and our projects successful.

You’ll work across multiple active construction projects, partnering with superintendents, project teams, and employees to identify hazards, solve problems, and continuously improve the way we approach safety. What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of the company’s day-to-day safety operations and help drive a proactive safety culture
• Implement, maintain, and enforce company safety policies in accordance with OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations
• Develop jobsite-specific Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Conduct regular safety inspections and walkthroughs at active job sites
• Coordinate and lead weekly tailgate safety meetings with field employees and superintendents
• Stay current on OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations and help ensure company-wide compliance
• Partner with management to identify safety trends, address concerns, and continuously improve our safety program
• Provide weekly safety reports and updates to management
• Investigate incidents and accidents and develop corrective and preventative measures
• Serve as a liaison with state and federal agencies, insurance carriers, and emergency services
• Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required safety documentation
• Conduct an annual review and update of the company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
• Build strong relationships with employees and leadership and promote safety as a shared responsibility throughout the company

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of construction safety experience
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations and requirements
• Bilingual in Spanish – required
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certifications preferred
• Certifications to train employees on aerial lifts and boom lifts preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships with field employees, management, and customers
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage safety documentation and compliance requirements
• A proactive, hands-on approach to safety and a genuine commitment to keeping employees safe
