Echo Sonographer (Casual) Location: Grove City, Ohio 43123 Job Summary The cardiovascular sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography and or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines, reporting preliminary findings for physician interpretation. Responsibilities Perform all studies according to policy, procedures, and accreditation standards. Identify and report abnormal pathology appropriately. Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure their comfort; assist with transport as needed. Obtain pertinent health history and enter accurate data into diagnostic equipment and documentation system. Ensure report accuracy before dispatch. Communicate patient data to appropriate team members and collaborate with other departments to optimize care. Manage equipment resources: Know all relevant equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and participate in evaluation of new equipment. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred. Licensure/Certification: Registered Radiographer with ARRT or registry eligible. Certified by ARDMS as an RVT, RDCS, RCS, or RVS. Certified by CCI as an RCS or RVS; board‑eligible with ARDMS or CCI, and to achieve certification within 12 months of hire. Minimum one year of experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred.
