Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float

Role: Registered Nurse providing patient-centered care in a clinical setting, primarily during night shifts. Responsibilities Include Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Delivering individualized, culturally competent care and partnering with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes. Ensuring safe, quality care through effective documentation, interdisciplinary communication, and collaboration. Participating in performance improvement activities, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Supporting resource management, protocol development, and patient care planning across the continuum. Mentoring and serving as a preceptor to other nursing staff and students to promote professional growth and a healthy work environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Active RN license (single or multi-state compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; BLS instructor or provisional status preferred. Knowledge of nursing standards, assessment, treatment techniques, and effective communication skills. Ability to react calmly in emergencies, maintain accurate records, and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
