Final Filing Date: 10/1/2026 Under the general direction of the Program Quality and Improvement Branch (PQIB) Chief, Career Executive Assignment, the Education Administrator I (EA I) provides leadership and direction of statewide field services work and oversees supervision of staff in managing the Program Quality and Integrity (PQI) Bureau, which is one of five bureaus in the Branch. The PQI Bureaus collaborate with the managers in the PQIB. The EA I is responsible for a variety of management functions that include administration, supervision, policy, fiscal, program and representation in support of contract compliance monitoring and program training, policy development and implementation, and technical assistance. Ongoing extensive travel exceeding 50% is required to attend meetings, presentations, trainings, and collaboration with staff on regional visits, or other work-related purposes. A valid CA driver's license is required for the position. The Department of Social Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes. Provide examples of projects you've led, how you overcame obstacles, and the results you achieved. You are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678).
