Position Summary The Delivery Coordinator (Delco) is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products and for communicating status and delivery plans to Customer Service Representatives and the Delivery Assurance Manager. The role is the main point of contact for internal customers. Essential Job Responsibilities Coordinate and direct internal and external customer orders through the manufacturing process. Respond to delivery‑related or product‑related inquiries as needed, including direct communication with plant operations, shipping, and quality. Engage daily with the Delivery Assurance Manager to identify delivery risks, barriers and status, proactively addressing obstacles and escalating when necessary. Identify and participate in the resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion of horse blankets, LOB, etc., and communicate clear, timely status updates through tools to upstream customers. Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities and stock management (e.g., stagnant WIP, work order issues, holds) and communicate with Master Schedulers, Materials Managers and the Central Planning Manager. Schedule production on sites that require the Delivery Coordinator to use site scheduling tools, adhering to capacity and specific site limitations. Ensure timely release and correct flow of production orders in coordination with a master scheduler when applicable. Participate in cross‑functional discussions in delivery clinics to identify root causes and prioritize corrective actions. Key Deliverables Update horse blanket past‑due (+4weeks) and work toward an 8‑week target. Reduce work orders, remove cut slip and split work orders as needed. Place jobs on hold when necessary and keep coverage files, LOBs, BP file/SPI file (monthly sales) and GTG file (daily) updated. Identify critical parts on the shop floor and obtain timelines for them from supervisors of the respective areas. Monitor bottlenecks and issues, bringing them up in daily OBEYA. Handle internal company calls, update Lean DNA and participate in scrap and replace processes for internal customers. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalency preferred; candidates without a high‑school diploma or equivalency must pass a pre‑employment assessment. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or two‑year college degree in business, engineering or materials management required with a minimum of 4years customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or a closely related industry. Alternatively, a high‑school diploma or equivalency with a minimum of 6years customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or a closely related industry. Background in a manufacturing environment preferred. Skills & Requirements Strong communication skills (oral, written and diagram; able to present information and respond to questions in one‑on‑one and group settings). Time‑management and prioritization abilities, well organized and follows through to end of projects. Customer‑relationship building and ability to work independently and in a team. Practical problem‑solving and decision‑making using analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and desired experience with Access. Understanding of process flows, lead‑times and lean principles in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of all Production Control functions and ability to learn each product line’s capabilities and limitations. Technical skills and understanding of machinery and shop‑floor terminology. Physical Requirements Requires ability to sit or stand for extended periods, exposure to noise ranging from quiet to extremely loud, and occasional lifting or moving of up to 10‑50 pounds.
