Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.THE ROLEThe Pricing Strategy Manager role is a key position for the AMD Data Center Platform Engineering team within the Datacenter Solutions Group. The Pricing Strategy Manager is responsible for operational execution of cost and pricing decisions on new and existing products. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-directed, high-output individual with a background in technology hardware business planning and data analytics. You will navigate a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, adapting your communication style to various audiences at all levels including executive leadership to make data-driven recommendations that have real technical, business, and financial impact. THE PERSONYou are known for a work style that is data‑driven, collaborative, and operationally disciplined. You have an ability to build positive partnerships with executives and across teams to deliver insights, recommendations and reports on a timely, regular basis. Beyond operational execution, you routinely identify and implement business process and system improvements.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with architects, system engineers, technical program managers, and procurement personnel to create costed bills of material (BOMs) for rack and cluster level solutionsPartner with business development teams on total cost of ownership (TCO) modelsEvaluation of business unit financial goals and pricing strategiesExecution of pricing requests from submission through final approval Partnership with Sales and Finance organizations to accurately evaluate impact of pricing decisionTranslate pricing decisions into clear operational actions driving communication and working cross functionally to operationalizeDrive detailed systems analysis to create or improve cross-functional business processes across product, operations, business development, and program management teamsPREFERRED EXPERIENCEPast experience at a technology hardware companyDemonstrated ownership and analytical abilitiesUnderstanding of Finance and Accounting principlesExcellent written and verbal communication skills including experience presenting across multiple teams, building relationships and collaborating at all levels Expert level analytical skills in ExcelProficient in dashboard design elements in Power BI or similarPractical experience in power queries, ETL workflows, DAX, and SQLIntermediate knowledge of IT best practices in data warehousingACADEMIC CREDENTIALSBachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Marketing, etc.), Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology or related field MBA is an advantageLOCATIONAustin, TXMay be open to considering candidates in NY/NJ area, Seattle WA, or Bay Area, CA This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. #LI-MP2Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
