Compassionate Caregiver Wanted for 2nd Shift CNA Position

St. Luke's Hospital Transitional Care Center in Cedar Rapids IA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on the 2nd shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, on a full-time basis. As a CNA at our facility, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and support to our residents while promoting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Assist with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for residents

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification in the state of Iowa
• Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

$21.00-$23.50 per hour
