Commercial Director

Commercial Director – Gaming (Remote, Contract) Valnet is looking for a driven Commercial Director to grow revenue across two of our gaming brands: Fextralife , home to some of the most-used game wikis, and TheGamer , a top destination for AAA gaming news, guides and features. In this role, you will sell advertising, sponsorships and branded content to game publishers, brands and agencies who want to reach a large, highly engaged gaming audience. This is a remote, contract role. Your Responsibilities: Build and manage a pipeline of new and existing clients, including game publishers and developers, hardware and peripheral brands, consumer brands and media agencies Sell integrated campaigns across our brands, including display and direct IO packages, sponsored content, wiki and site takeovers, newsletter placements, and Twitch stream and video sponsorships Prospect, pitch and close deals, from first outreach through to contract and campaign launch Build tailored proposals and media plans that match client goals (launches, awareness, engagement) Work with our editorial, wiki and streaming teams to deliver campaigns that fit our audience and keep content authentic Track campaign performance (CPM, CTR, views, engagement, ROI) and share results with clients to drive renewals Hit and exceed quarterly and yearly revenue targets Keep up with the gaming release calendar, tentpole events and industry trends to spot upcoming sales opportunities What We Offer: Competitive monthly retainer plus commission Remote position with a flexible schedule based on your location The chance to sell some of the most recognized brands in gaming media Room to shape how Fextralife and TheGamer work with brand partners Experience and Skills: 7+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, sponsorship sales or partnerships, ideally in gaming, esports or entertainment media A proven record of hitting or exceeding sales targets Existing relationships with game publishers, brands or media agencies is a strong plus Understanding of direct and programmatic advertising, sponsored content and influencer or streaming sponsorships Comfortable with performance metrics (CPM, CPV, CTR, ROI) and building campaign reports Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills Experience with a CRM (e.g. Boostr, Saleforce, Hubspot) is an asset Passion for and knowledge of the gaming industry Familiarity with Fextralife and TheGamer Based in the US (preferred), to work closely with brands, publishers and agencies in North America Experience selling to or partnering with game publishers in Asian markets is a strong plus How to Apply: If you are interested in this role, feel free to apply via LinkedIn Apply and share: Your CV/resume Our hiring team will review your application and contact you if we believe your experience could be a match for this role.
