The Provider Support Team is responsible for data quality assurance and process improvements for Texas Immunization Registry providers and users. The position processes organization registrations and renewal documents while ensuring data completeness and accuracy. Assists with user or provider access issues pertaining to the Immunization Section ecosystem. Assists with record management for client records and retrieval of immunization records. Tests new and existing functionality and enhancements within the Immunization Section ecosystem. Collaborates with staff within the IIS Unit and overall Immunization Section on provider access, issues pertaining to access, and functionality. Essential Job Functions (40%) Reviews, processes, and troubleshoots with providers registering or renewing the intent to use the Texas Immunization Registry. Reviews registration and renewal documents for completeness and accuracy. Coordinates with other members of the IIS Unit including the Interoperability Team to assist providers with their intent to register or renew. Provides technical support to providers with their registration and renewal documents and system navigation. Provides technical support to registry users gaining and troubleshooting access to the Immunization System ecosystem. Liaison with the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program. (35%) Reviews provider and user access requests for missing, duplicate, or outdated information. Performs quality assurance checks on provider and organization data within the Immunization System ecosystem. Responds to inquiries from private and public immunization partners from the field, as well as from the public-at-large. (20%) Provides comprehensive customer service and program support activities while speaking to registry providers and users over the phone and through email. Receives and processes immunization record requests from providers and the public; performs printing, photocopying and faxing of public health information as needed. Assists with processing of registry user applications and set‑up, filing of user application documentation. Assists with user acceptance testing and verifying program enhancements to the ImmTrac2 application. Provides written and verbal feedback to technical and program staff regarding enhancements and improvements to the registry. (5%) Other duties assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of public health program practices, principles, and techniques. Knowledge of the immunization program, immunization registries, and laws relating to immunization registries. Knowledge of customer service and support matters. Knowledge of the practices, principles, and use of computers and computer software. Interpersonal skills and problem‑solving skills. Skill in using relevant software applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database). Skill in developing promotional materials and/or training and education materials and curriculum. Skill in presenting information to individuals and groups with varying levels of computer knowledge. Ability to effectively communicate over the telephone, verbally, and in writing. Ability to identify and define customer needs; gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; devise solutions to problems. Ability to accurately perform data entry, analysis of data, and prepare concise and accurate reports. Ability to develop and evaluate processes and procedures; interpret complex policies, procedures, and regulations; and communicate them clearly and effectively to others. Ability to use independent judgment and to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisory personnel, co‑workers, health professionals, and the public. Ability to conduct daytime or overnight travel as necessary. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications N/A Initial Screening Criteria High School Diploma, GED or higher. Experience or experience of Public Health.
