Accounting Manager

Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close schedules, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution. Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842 and fixed asset accounting under ASC 360, ensuring proper classification, accounting treatment, and financial reporting across the lease portfolio. Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including maintaining the fixed asset register, reconciling balances to the general ledger, and administering the fixed asset system Reconcile lease and fixed asset records with fleet management systems to ensure consistency and accuracy across platforms. Review and approve month-end accruals, validating supporting documentation and collaborating with department leaders to ensure completeness. Serve as a key accounting resource on bus financing transactions, providing guidance on transaction structure, lease and debt classification, and financial statement implications. Partner with FP&A, Legal, Procurement, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to support reporting initiatives, process improvements, and special projects. Manage the external audit process, including preparing audit schedules, coordinating requests, and resolving auditor inquiries. Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and reporting across multiple entities. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to obtain contracts, agreements, and supporting documentation required for lease and fixed asset accounting. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience preferably within a multi-entity environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, lease accounting (ASC 842), and fixed asset accounting (ASC 360). Experience with LeaseQuery, NetAsset, or similar lease and fixed asset management platforms preferred. Experience preparing and/or supporting consolidated financial statements. Solid understanding of intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
