General Production Worker

Production Operator

As a Production Operator, you will work in a variety of roles within a food manufacturing plant, supporting both processing and packaging operations. You will help ensure that production runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily output and quality targets.
• Perform general production tasks, including assembly, packing, and material handling as needed throughout the plant.
• Monitor machines during operation, identify basic issues, and report any equipment malfunctions or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and compliant manufacturing environment.
• Maintain accurate counts and proper packaging of finished goods according to production and packaging requirements.
• Assist with routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production and packaging areas to support continuous operations.
• Adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations, using proper personal protective equipment and safe work practices.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
• General production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Forklift experience and ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Basic machine operating experience preferred, including starting, stopping, and monitoring production equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or packaging is an advantage.
• Comfort working with various types of production and packaging machinery.
• Willingness to cross-train in multiple roles within processing and packaging.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Robinson, IL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
