People Operations Associate

Our client, a leading global financial services firm, is seeking a People Operations Associate to join their HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with HR systems, employee data, onboarding, and process improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an open-ended full-time contract opportunity with overtime eligibility and strong potential for long-term growth. Compensation $33-$38/hour (based experience) Full-time, 40+ hours per week Onsite Monday-Friday in Midtown Manhattan What You'll Do Maintain and update employee records throughout the employee lifecycle within the HRIS. Support new hire onboarding by coordinating documentation, system setup, and onboarding logistics. Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and organizational changes. Review HR data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and complete regular audits to ensure data integrity. Partner with HR Business Partners and internal stakeholders to process employee transactions efficiently. Assist with payroll-related activities, timesheet reviews, and benefit file administration. Prepare employment verification requests and other HR documentation. Coordinate contractor onboarding, including agreements, background checks, and system access. Monitor contractor assignments and assist with contract extensions and renewals. Support vendor invoice processing and contractor administration. Generate reports and analyze HR data using Excel and HR systems to support business needs. Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline People Operations workflows. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 2+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HRIS, HR Administration, or a related function. Experience working within an HRIS such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or a similar platform. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting employee onboarding, HR data management, or contractor administration is highly preferred. Preferred Experience HR reporting or analytics experience. Process improvement initiatives within an HR or People Operations team. Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr North Bridge Staffing Group
