HUD Section 8 Compliance Supervisor

Harrisburg Area | Full-Time

Are you an experienced affordable housing professional with expertise in HUD Section 8 compliance, voucher administration, and housing program operations? We're seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative leader to oversee compliance activities, support a high-performing team, and help ensure the successful administration of affordable housing programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in affordable housing compliance, HUD contract administration, Section 8 voucher management, housing assistance programs, or regulatory housing operations who is ready to step into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Supervise day-to-day operations related to Section 8 voucher processing and housing assistance programs
• Lead, mentor, and support a team responsible for compliance and payment processing
• Ensure adherence to HUD regulations, affordable housing requirements, and organizational policies
• Monitor and resolve voucher processing issues, compliance concerns, and system discrepancies
• Review and oversee special claims processing and related documentation
• Support monthly housing assistance payment processes and associated accounting documentation
• Track operational metrics, maintain reporting, and ensure timely, accurate processing
• Collaborate with internal departments, software vendors, housing partners, and external stakeholders
• Assist with audits, compliance reviews, reporting requirements, and regulatory documentation
• Communicate policy updates and procedural changes clearly to staff and partners
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and overall program operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of HUD affordable housing regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience administering Section 8 housing programs, voucher processing, or housing subsidy programs
• Leadership, supervisory, or team mentoring experience
• Experience working with affordable housing software systems (TRACS experience preferred)
• AHM certification or related affordable housing certification is a plus
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a compliance-driven environment

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time | Monday-Friday, standard business hours
