Service Advisor

As a Service Advisor at Carl Black Chevrolet Buick GMC of Orlando you will greet customers, listen to their description of the problem or service needed, determine the type of service required, and prepare repair orders. If vehicles require additional repairs not covered in the original order, you will contact customer with additional cost and get permission. Desired candidate will be detail oriented and have incredible customer service skills.

Job duties include advising customers about necessary service for routine maintenance, conferring with customers about inspection results, recommending corrective procedures, preparing work orders for needed repairs, listing detailed descriptions of the customer's concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem, explaining the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer, handling customer complaints, greeting customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtaining vehicle information, referring to service history, inspecting vehicles, and recommending additional needed service, advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, providing a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts, establishing promised time, checking with the dispatcher if necessary, obtaining customer's signature on repair order; providing customer with a copy, checking on progress of repair throughout the day, contacting customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explaining cost and time requirements in detail, and getting proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed, reviewing repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted, maintaining high customer satisfaction standards, and handling telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.

Requirements include maintaining a professional appearance, keeping work area clean, having 5+ years experience, having a valid driver's license, and passing pre-employment drug screen and background check.
