Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a lasting difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher supporting the GNETS (Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Supports) program. In this contract-based, full-time position, you’ll collaborate with caring professionals to provide individualized educational and therapeutic services for students requiring intensive behavioral, social-emotional, and academic support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with GNETS program requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.
• Use evidence-based strategies for behavioral interventions and positive supports.
• Work with administrators, related service providers, families, and support staff.
• Customize instruction across academic subjects to meet diverse learner needs.
• Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate, timely documentation.
• Promote a structured, welcoming classroom climate tailored to students' success.

Basic Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification.
• Certification across all core academic areas (Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies).
• Strong background in behavior intervention and classroom management.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing IEPs.
• Three reference checks required (including a recent supervisor).

Preferred:

• Background in GNETS or similar educational settings.
• Experience with emotional and behavioral disorder support.
• CPI, de-escalation, or specialized behavior management training.
