# Director of Staff Development (DSD)### Whitney Oaks Care Center | Rocklin, CA**Pay: $45–$48/hour**Whitney Oaks Care Center is looking for a **Director of Staff Development (DSD)** to join our team!This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed. As our DSD, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our clinical team through education, training, and ongoing professional development. Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide and help create a positive, supportive environment for both staff and residents.If you're an RN or LVN with long-term care experience and a passion for developing others, we'd love to hear from you!## ## What You'll Do* Coordinate and oversee staff education, orientation, and ongoing training programs* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility training requirements* Plan, develop, and conduct in-service education programs* Support onboarding and mentorship of new employees* Maintain training records and documentation* Monitor staff competencies and provide coaching as needed* Assist with regulatory surveys and quality improvement initiatives* Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities* Foster a culture of learning, teamwork, and excellence in resident care## ## Qualifications* Current California RN or LVN license in good standing* Long-term care or skilled nursing experience required* Previous staff development, education, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred* Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills* Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities* Passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others grow professionally* Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with staff at all levels## ## Why Whitney Oaks Care Center?At Whitney Oaks, we believe great resident care starts with a well-trained, engaged team.
