Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN – North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift (1845-0715), 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 36-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Comprehensive patient population including diabetes, CHF, COPD, sepsis, renal failure, post-surgical recovery, and more
• 13-20 week contract assignments available with self-scheduling flexibility
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Robust interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• May float to another campus location approximately 32 minutes away as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS and telemetry certification preferred
• Must pass EKG interpretation testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, remote telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, wound care, and respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula)
• Experience with central lines, PICC lines, feeding tubes, chest tubes, PCA pumps, colostomy/ileostomy care, and hemodialysis management
• Charge experience and community hospital background preferred
• Must be available to work holidays and participate in storm/hurricane team assignments if catastrophic events occur
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract period
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
