What You'll Do:

As a Travel RN in the Operating Room, you will practice independently, delivering routine and complex surgical nursing care. Your expertise will support patients' surgical journeys, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document carefully, administer medications, and provide education to patients and their families. Flexibility to float between locations as staffing needs dictate is key, along with staying committed to excellence and patient safety.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in New Mexico or a Compact State
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant perioperative nursing experience
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varied clinical situations

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Additional certifications related to surgical nursing
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Multilingual abilities

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 1-2 years of perioperative or surgical nursing experience

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to float to Main campus or other facilities as needed
• Availability to work full-time days, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirement, but opportunity to volunteer for call
• Travel reimbursement for licensure, certification, and associated expenses
