Human Resources - HR & Payroll Specialist
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
Employment Type: Temporary – Temp to Hire for right candidate
Pay: $30–$38/hour, depending on experience

The Opportunity
Kelly Services is seeking an HR Generalist / HR & Payroll Specialist to provide temporary HR support at a busy manufacturing facility in Eau Claire, WI.
This is a hands-on HR support role for someone with experience in Human Resources, payroll, employee records, HRIS, onboarding, attendance, or employee relations. Experience working in a manufacturing or union environment is helpful, but the client is open to candidates with a broader HR background.

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors.
• Assist with payroll, timekeeping, attendance, and employee record maintenance.
• Support onboarding, new-hire paperwork, employee changes, transfers, and separations.
• Maintain accurate employee information in the HRIS and other HR systems.
• Assist employees and managers with questions regarding HR policies, benefits, timekeeping, and payroll.
• Support attendance tracking, employee relations, and workplace issues.
• Assist with investigations, documentation, disciplinary actions, and other HR matters as needed.
• Provide support with benefits administration and employee communications.
• Assist with compliance, reporting, audits, and maintaining confidential HR records.
• Partner with management and employees to resolve routine HR issues and ensure a positive employee experience.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of HR, payroll, or HR administrative experience.
• Experience with payroll, timekeeping, HRIS, employee records, or HR operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
• Comfortable working directly with employees and supervisors.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel.
• Manufacturing or union experience is a plus, but not required.
• HR certification or bachelor's degree is a plus, but relevant experience will be considered.
