Position Overview - We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Assistant to support and maintain our organization’s technology infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of systems and technologies. In this role, you will assist with maintaining networks, servers and security programs and systems. The IT Assistant will also assist with the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software, perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems, and assess viruses and potential threats to a company’s network. Essential Position Responsibilities - • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues and service requests • Assist with Active Directory (AD) administration and troubleshooting • Respond to Helpdesk tickets, phone calls, emails, and walk-up support requests; escalate as needed • Track and document issues using the ticketing system to ensure timely resolution • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems • Install, configure, and deploy company workstations and devices • Provide end-user support for standard business applications • Assist with data backup, verification, and recovery processes • Support IT Administrator with daily operations and projects Skills - • Strong interest in building a career in Information Technology • Good verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • High attention to detail and accuracy • Willingness to learn, receive mentorship, and grow professionally • Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 • Experience with Active Directory is a plus • Ability to troubleshoot systems, applications, and hardware issues effectively Education and Experience - • Associate’s degree (minimum) or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field • At least 1 year of experience in an IT support or technician role Supervisory Responsibilities - • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities Physical Requirements - • Ability to sit and use office equipment and computers for the majority of the workday • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Work Environment - • The essential responsibilities of this position are performed in a busy office environment. • Requires focus and adaptability in an environment with frequent interruptions Travel Requirements - • Occasional car travel, primarily in Santa Monica to visit properties in the Community Corp. portfolio • Valid California driver’s license, insurance, and acceptable driving record required Background Check and Driving Record will be Conducted Community Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer Company Description Community Corp. is a Santa Monica-based non-profit organization that restores, builds, and manages affordable housing for working families of modest means.
