AsaSeniorSalesExecutive,youwillberesponsibleforidentifyinganddevelopingnewbusinesswhilemanagingexistingaccountsthroughface-to-facecontact.Youwillbeexpectedtotrulyunderstandyourcustomers’business,beabletocraftuniquesolutions,andbuildbroadpreferenceforPowellproductsandservices. Targeting candidates in the Chicagoland and Kansas City areas. Engage/coordinatecustomersupportfromdifferentareasofPowellorganization Identifysalesprospectsandcontacttheseandotheraccountsassigned Establishandmaintaincurrentclientandpotentialclientrelationships Deliverproductpresentationsatcustomersites,conferencesandexhibitions Developandmaintainsalesmaterialsandcurrentproductknowledge Follow-uponnewsalesleadsandreferralstoincreasesalespotential Participateinmarketingeventssuchasseminarsandtradeshows Prepareandmaintainavarietyofsalesstatusreports,includingactivities,closings,follow-upandadherencetodepartmentandcompanygoalsasrequiredofthedepartmentmanager Assistintheimplementationofcompanymarketingplansandstrategyasneeded Managesalesaccountsthroughcontinuousqualitychecksandotherfollow-up Keepsalesreportinginformationcurrent/accurateusingSalesCRMsoftware Minimum Qualifications Workingknowledgeofelectricalproductsandapplications Stronginterpersonalskills,computerskills,andworkplanningskills FamiliaritywithNEC,ANSIandIECpowerdistributionequipmentapplicationstandards Readblueprintsorplanstoidentifyelectricalequipment(Switchgear,circuitbreakers,etc.) Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements Possessunderstandingatahigherlevelofcapitalprojectdecisiondrivers,projectstaffing,purchasinginfluenceandhowdecisionsaremade Demonstrateworkingknowledgeofallportionsofintegratedprojects,includingPowellmanufactured,intelligentdevices,communicationsandmajorbuyoutitems AbilitytofacilitatecustomernegotiationsonlegaltermsalongwithPowellcorporatecounsel Familiaritywithrevenuerecognitionrequirements Goodunderstandingofthemarketlevelpricingforvarioussolutions Working Conditions This position requires travel out-of-town to attend training and meetings.
