Finance Data Product Analyst — FP&A
Intuitive Surgical
Finance Data Product Analyst supporting FP&A at Intuitive Surgical. The role owns requirements gathering, technical specification translation, and engineering handoff across general ledger, revenue, capital expenditure, and headcount portfolios, reducing downstream rework and accelerating delivery cycles.
Responsibilities
- Gather, clarify, document, and prioritize FP&A business requirements from Finance stakeholders across multiple portfolios
- Translate business requirements into structured technical specifications and data model requirements for engineering teams
- Own requirements-to-engineering handoff process, ensuring specifications are complete and validated before development
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and user acceptance testing to verify delivered models match business intent
- Coordinate between onsite and offshore teams, managing backlogs, tracking delivery status, and flagging gaps
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in BI analysis, data product analysis, or finance analytics support
- Strong FP&A knowledge: general ledger, revenue recognition, CapEx planning, headcount reporting
- SQL proficiency for data investigation and validation across enterprise data warehouse layers
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting specifications, and translating business-to-technical needs
- Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms from analyst perspective
- Proficiency with Tableau or similar BI tools for report validation and analysis
- Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, information systems, or business
