In this role, you will dispense medications, counsel patients, maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications. Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or medication-related concerns. Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and potential drug interactions. Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Provide wellness support, including smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions when required. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation. Monitor pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies. Identify medication-related issues and collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to resolve them. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy personnel. PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Current pharmacist license in good standing with the state pharmacy board. Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and patient counseling skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
