CFO PositionReporting to the CEO, the CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with Client, SEC, and GAAP standards, as well as, maintaining appropriate internal controls. The selected individual will be an integral part of the executive management team and a member of the Management Committee.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide leadership, management, and mentorship to individuals within departments that fall under the areas of responsibilityAssess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long and short-term operational goals, budget, and forecastsOversee activities of the accounting, payroll, AP and regulatory teamsAct as a firm's FINOP and ensure timely filing for all financial reports, FOCUS, and other regulatory reports and compliance with Client, SEC, and other regulatory bodiesAnalyze new accounting pronouncements for impact on company operationsEffectively plan and establish sound financial and operational controlsProviding timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trendsFacilitate identification, acquisition, and implementation of systems and software to increase work efficiency and cost effectivenessCollaborate with senior management team through involvement with potential corporate acquisitionsProvide strategic input on issues affecting the organization, business continuity, and recoveryPartner with senior leaders to provide financial support, evaluate strategies, and assist with financial goals implementationExperience and SkillsBachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant broker-dealer experienceClient Series 27 and CPA licenses are requiredSuperior knowledge of GAAP, Client, and SEC rules and regulationsDemonstrated understanding of broker-dealer operationsExperience with Great Plains is preferredProven leadership and management experienceMust be an effective communicatorSome travel may be required JobTracks
