Description

The Security Team is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for visitors and True employees. Their duty is to protect and ensure all buildings, grounds and parking lots are safe and secure; they are also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the policies of True Manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide direct supervision of all Security Officers (including contracted Officers) and ensure all duties are carried out properly; this includes providing direction as needed, answering any questions regarding duties, (this includes after hours calls) and assigning Officers to specific tasks as the need requires.
• Ensure all Officers maintain a current St. Charles County Security License by scheduling any required training prior to expiration and tracking the status of each license.
• Ensure all Officers are properly uniformed and equipped; this includes placing uniform and equipment orders with our vendor as needed and maintaining records of the equipment issued.
• Assist with the scheduling Officers and arrange coverage as needed for sick days, vacations, etc.
• Answer Team Members' questions regarding the department's services or security policy and provide prompt follow up with the team member if the answer is not immediately known.
• Review all security reports to ensure accuracy prior to submission to management.
• Work closely with our contract security company to ensure department standards and expectations are being met by the contracted Officers; this includes requesting additional and or removing Officers as the situation dictates.
• Evaluating current physical security systems identifying potential weaknesses, and making appropriate recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor day to day alarm activities, including securing buildings and responding to alarm calls.
• Travel to satellite facilities and assist with any alarm and/or team member issues that arise.
• Assist any team member (office and factory) in a time of need to the best of your ability.
• Work closely with the HR department when they need assistance.
• Monitor and review video from the surveillance cameras.
• Provide team members with basic vehicle assistance such as jump starts, flat tire change, deicing locks, etc.
• Foot and vehicle patrols of all True Manufacturing facilities and grounds.
• The Security Team Lead is an office-based role. Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required.
• Perform core job responsibilities through regular in-person collaboration, including participation in meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional coordination.
• Collaborate with fellow team members and leadership in a shared work environment to support innovation and timely decision-making, problem-solving, and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain a consistent on-site presence to support and respond to day-to-day business needs, including attendance of scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration as needed to ensure alignment of department and company priorities.
• Meet regularly with manager in-person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age, due to St. Charles and St. Louis county licensing purposes.
• One or more years' experience with True Manufacturing required.
• Prior security and/or military experience required.
• Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Report, as this position will require you to operate a company vehicle.
• This position will require a license through St. Charles County, and St. Louis County, which the company will pay for.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Confidentially is a MUST.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office. (Excel/Word/Outlook)
• Must be able to multitask and handle emergency situations by yourself.
• Previous experience with alarm systems and closed-circuit TV is a positive, but not required.
• Must be available for overtime on short notice. This can include weekends and holidays.

The hours for this position are 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
