Accountant

Accountant Position

We are seeking a detailed oriented and organized Accountant to support the company's accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Monitor transactions and ensure they are properly recorded and classified.
• Assist with month-end and year end closing processes.
• Review invoices, payments, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial records.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare reports and provide accounting information to management as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Perform other accounting-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Finance or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Quickbooks and Sage is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality or multi-location business environment.
• Familiarity with payroll, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
