Our home is full of energy, laughter, and a whole lot of moving parts. The older kids are involved in swim, sports, and after-school activities, while the younger ones keep the daytime hours equally full. Our family dog rounds out the household and is friendly, sweet, and great with kids.One parent is home full-time managing the household, children's schedules, therapies, school pickups, and everything in between. The other leads a company and works in the office most of the week, traveling occasionally. While we have a wonderful part-time nanny and a cleaning team already in place, we are growing and the daily load has grown with us. We are looking for someone who can step in and help bring order, consistency, and calm to what can sometimes feel like a beautifully chaotic household.Our goal with this hire is simple: we want to spend more time being present with our kids, not buried in the task list. You take ownership of your responsibilities and find satisfaction in creating order, supporting a family, and handling the small details that make everyday life easier.Key ResponsibilitiesLaundry & Linen CareSort and stain-treat clothing before sending out to laundry service 1-2 times per weekReceive laundered items and put away in an organized systemManage linen rotation: wash, organize, and maintain regular cadence for towels and bedding, especially children's bedsWash, fold, and organize occasional small in-home loads (sleep sacks, pajamas, and similar items)Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areasHousehold Organization & MaintenanceCreate and maintain household organizational systems that can evolve as family needs changeDaily resets and light tidying: dishes, surfaces, high-traffic vacuuming, trash, toy pickupOwn the mudroom: keep it sorted, cleaned, vacuumed with wet vac, and mini fridge restockedManage garage space: weekly reset, ensure children's bikes and gear are properly storedPrep home for weekly cleaning team visitsComplete a dedicated organizational project each week (closets, toy storage, activity gear, etc.)Manage seasonal clothing swaps and rotations, particularly for the boys (all close in size, clothing is passed down regularly)Coordinate donation drop-offsProactively change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as neededBe on-site point of contact for vendors and service providersInventory & ErrandsManage household supply lists in collaboration with the family; place orders (Costco, Heinen's, and Target) or add to shared list proactively before essential items run lowUnpack orders and restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies throughout the homeHandle miscellaneous errands: returns, exchanges, occasional dry cleaning, and gift shopping as neededBreak down boxes for recyclingMonitor and bring in packages when family is awayMeal SupportPack school lunches and snacks for the following dayHelp with occasional ingredient prep for dinners or monitor items in the oven as requestedProcess produce upon arrival (wash, cut, and store) for easy snackingDeep clean refrigerator weekly, being mindful to clear out expired or unused foodBe mindful of dietary preferences: one parent is vegetarian, the rest of the family is notMaintain tidy and organized kitchen spaceFamily SupportProvide light afternoon supervision (e.g. take a child for a walk during homework time as needed or stay with napping children while parent runs errands)Serve as a flexible, second set of hands as the family welcomes a new baby in the fallAvailable for occasional date night childcare based on candidate availabilityPrep backpacks, clothing, and snacks for school and activitiesProvide backup drop-off or pickup support on a rare basisDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsIdentify other deep cleaning needs (oven, baseboards) and flag for cleaning team or handle during downtimeManage
