Make a difference in a child’s life as a part-time Registered Nurse, providing compassionate care in a supportive school setting. This opportunity focuses on working 1:1 with a preschool student who requires ongoing medical support, including G-tube, trach, and ventilator care. The schedule offers a rewarding balance, working afternoons Tuesday through Friday, with responsibilities beginning and ending at the student’s home and accompanying the student to and from school. Key Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois is required Demonstrated experience with G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care Critical care background preferred Comfortable providing hands‑on assistance during school transportation and within a classroom setting Strong communication and collaborative skills to work closely with families and school staff Must provide active license/certification and current resume with your application Primary Responsibilities: Meet the student at home each school day at approximately 12:30PM Safely accompany and monitor the student during bus transport to and from school Deliver attentive 1:1 medical support while on campus, ensuring the child’s ongoing health and comfort Communicate regularly with families and educational staff regarding student care needs and observations Maintain meticulous records and manage any necessary interventions related to G-tube, trach, and ventilator care This role is designed for nurses seeking meaningful part‑time work, making a substantial impact in a preschooler’s daily academic experience. You’ll provide consistent clinical care in a nurturing environment, Monday through Thursday afternoons, with all weekends and Mondays off. Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $45.00.
