Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the NICU provides specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns. They collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement tailored care plans to support infant health and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonatal patients to identify their clinical needs and prioritize care interventions.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care routines aligned with best practices and patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify individualized care plans.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, medications, and treatments specific to neonatal care.
• Monitor and record patient progress, ensuring accurate documentation of care and clinical outcomes.
• Advocate for evidence-based neonatal practices and contribute to continuous improvement in care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in neonatal intensive care or related specialty.
• Maintain current BLS certification from the AHA.
• Maintain NRP certification from the AHA.
• Exhibit strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills specific to NICU patients.
